Abstract
In the frame of a Brite-Euram project (Proposal BE 3286-Contract BREU 0048), supercapacitors were made, using polypyrrole (PPY) electrodes. PPY was obtained from SOLVAY with an electrochemical capacity greater than 100 Ah-kg(-1), and a conductivity in the range 40-50 S.cm(-1).242 5 button cells have been built reproducibly, these cells can be cycled several thousand times between -1,5 and 1,5 volt, with a nominal capa citance of 7 farads under 1 mA.
