Dynamical mechanical spectrometry experiments were performed on polypy
rrole films in order to provide some informations on the microstructur
e through the analysis of the molecular motions in the material. Two m
echanical relaxations have been detected at -60 and 155 degrees C at 1
Hz. The low temperature relaxation is due to water molecules motions
in the polymer. The high temperature relaxation should come from polym
er backbone motions.
