Abstract
Particle detectors for the Large Hadron Collider at CERN will be expos ed to very great radiation fluences that may induce destruction of mic roelectronic devices processing measurements inside the detector. This paper summarizes the radiative environment expected for the LHC and p resents irradiation facilities used to simulate this context.
