Abstract
Several series of glasses containing divalent metal fluorides RF(2) in the ZrF4-AIF(3) system were synthesized. Glass transition temperature s, crystallization temperatures, densities and refractive indices of g lasses have been measured. The influences of various RF(4) on the crys tallization behavior of glasses were studied by X-ray diffraction and other techniques. The 'confusion effect' is also discussed.
