Abstract
Vitreous areas in the systems NaPO3-BaF2-REF(3) (RE: rare earth) are g iven. Particularly stable glass compositions have been found and chara cterized by determining the characteristic temperatures, refractive in dex, expansion coefficient and density. The evolution of these physica l characteristics with the RE ion for the composition 0.60NaPO(3)-0.20 BaF(2)-0.20REF(3) has been examined.
