Abstract
The addition of Li+ to supersaturated calcium hydrogen carbonate solut ions results in the preferential expression of the (001) faces of arag onite whereas addition of poly alpha,beta-aspartate induces vaterite n ucleation and the formation of helicoid morphologies.
