Abstract
There are two types of elastomeric materials, i.e., covalently crossli nked systems (vulcanizates) and thermally reversible systems such as t hermoplastic elastomers (TPEs). The analysis of pre-gels was found to be a technique for the characterization of the former. Some results on the network systems are described which include sulfur- and moisture- cured rubbers, filled vulcanizates, a few exotic TPEs, and new hybrid network systems.
