Abstract
In the present paper, the plane problem for three-phase materials form ed from three isotropic homogeneous wedges with arbitrary angles is an alyzed. In particular, the eigenequation for the three-phase bonded st ructure analytically derived in the previous paper is used for investi gating the effect of the elastic property of the intermediate material on the order of singularity in the stress field near the apex. For th e several cases in which wedge angles phi(1), phi(2) and phi(3) are eq ual and those in which phi(1) + phi(3) and phi(2) are constant, the or der of singularity in the stress field for different material combinat ions and that for different wedge angles of regions 1 and 3 are studie d in detail.
