Ai. Glushko et al., THE EFFECT OF ADDITIVES WITH ACCEPTOR PROPERTIES ON THE REDUCTION OF ELECTRON NUMBER DENSITY IN AIR PLASMA, High temperature, 33(2), 1995, pp. 208-215
This paper describes the results of theoretical investigations of the
effect of coolant additives such as H2O, CCl4 and SF6 on the reduction
of the number density of electrons in an air plasma at temperatures i
n the range of 2 x 10(3) less than or equal to T less than or equal to
6 x 10(3) K and pressures in the range of 10(-3) less than or equal t
o P less than or equal to 10 atm and a mass fraction G less than or si
milar to 0.5. It is demonstrated that, as regards the coolants discuss
ed herein, the injection of SF6 even at G less than or similar to 0.05
proves most effective from the standpoint of reducing n(e).
