Vm. Fomichev, STABILITY OF A LAMINAR BOUNDARY-LAYER OF GAS ON A PERMEABLE SURFACE FOR DIFFERENT MECHANISMS OF SUCTION, High temperature, 33(2), 1995, pp. 243-249
The influence of the suction system design on the characteristics of a
laminar boundary layer is studied theoretically. The results of numer
ical calculations are given. Two types of suction systems are consider
ed. Type I is characterized by a permeable surface with slots connecte
d with a single suction chamber. In suction systems of type II, each s
lot of the permeable surface is connected to its own individual suctio
n chamber. The stability of the boundary layer may be regulated by pro
perly choosing the parameters of the suction system.
