Abstract
Many of the terms used in medical decision making are foreign to clini cians. This problem creates a barrier that can prevent physicians from acquiring these new clinical tools. This glossary contains definition s of the most common terms as well as examples of their usage by using Down syndrome as the illustrative condition.
