S. Caorsi et al., BISTATIC SCATTERING WIDTH COMPUTATION FOR NONLINEAR ISOTROPIC INFINITE MULTILAYER CIRCULAR-CYLINDERS, Microwave and optical technology letters, 9(3), 1995, pp. 137-141
An iterative approach to the approximate computation of the bistatic s
cattering width (BSW) for nonlinear multilayer concentric circular cyl
inders is proposed. The nonlinear layers are assumed to exhibit a Kerr
-like nonlinearity. The approach is based on the distorted-wave Born a
pproximation, and the initial linear solution is obtained by using the
recursive Richmond formulas. A TM illumination is considered Numerica
l results are reported concerning weakly nonlinear shells and concentr
ic cylinders coated with nonlinear layers, or presenting nonlinear die
lectric nuclei. (C) 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
