This paper presents an analytical solution to the general boundary val
ue problem of discrete-time singularly perturbed systems. A new versio
n of the Chang transformation is used to decompose the system into two
reduced-order decoupled slow and fast subsystems. Under this transfor
mation, all boundary conditions are preserved and the analytical proce
dure is simplified considerably.
