Abstract
In order to improve monitoring and diagnosis capabilities in nuclear p ower plants, Electricite' de France (EDF) is extending the existing da ta processing chains towards automatic aided interpretation and diagno sis. This rakes the form of an integrated framework for monitoring fun ctions: PSAD. PSAD will gather and store data from different monitored subsystems (turbo-generator sets, reactor coolant pumps, internals, e tc.). Processing on these data will be made available to plant personn el and experts. Knowledge based diagnosis systems should complement th e capabilities of PSAD for diagnosis assistance on turbine-generators (DIVA), on reactor coolant pumps (DIAPO) and on loose-part detection.
