Cs. Chang et Bs. Thia, DEVELOPMENT OF AN OBJECT-ORIENTED ENVIRONMENT FOR MODERN MASS RAPID-TRANSIT SYSTEM-DESIGN AND SIMULATION, International journal of engineering intelligent systems for electrical engineering and communications, 3(1), 1995, pp. 45-52
This paper presents object-oriented simulation of the rapid transit sy
stem. With the object-oriented technique, each object in the simulatio
n model has the attributes, operations, and structures of its counterp
art in the real world. This will resolve the complexity in the knowled
ge representation of the rapid transit system. To simulate continuous
train movements under discrete train movement orders, expert system ba
sed event objects are implemented. Normally, simulation is used to aid
the design of the rapid transit system. As the object-oriented techni
que provides reusability, extendibility, and high efficiency for futur
e development, simulation cost and developmental cost for future desig
ns are reduced tremendously.
