Abstract
Two new triglycosidic triterpene astragalosides, named agroastragalosi de III and agroastragaloside IV, were isolated from the hairy root cul tures of Astragalus membranaceus. From their spectroscopic data, the s tructures of the two compounds were elucidated as ranosyl-25-O-beta-D- glucopyranosyl-cycloastragenol and anosyl-25-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-c ycloastragenol, respectively. Both are triterpenetridesmosides.
