Abstract
Three new xanthone derivatives, 11-hydroxy-1-isomangostin, a xanthonol ignoid (5'-demethoxycadensin G) and a bisxanthone, as well as the know n compound 1,3,5,6-tetrahydroxyxanthone, were isolated from the bark o f Cratoxylum cochinchinense. Their structures were elucidated mainly b y a combination of high-field NMR spectroscopic techniques.
