Abstract
A new spermine alkaloid, kukoamine B, was isolated from the root bark of Lycium chinense and its structure was characterized by a combinatio n of spectroscopic analyses and chemical degradation. Kukoamine B cons ists of two dihydrocaffeoyl moieties and a spermine unit.
