Abstract
High-density, homogeneous Ba1-xKxBiO3 superconductors with relative de nsity of 97% were successfully synthesized by the plasma-are melting a nd rapid-quenching (PMQ) method. X-ray powder diffraction data showed a single Ba0.6K0.4BiOx structure with a lattice constant of a = 4.283 Angstrom. A sharp superconducting transition was observed at 28.5 K, w ith a transition width of less than 0.5 K.
