M. Joseyacaman et al., CARBON STRUCTURES GROWN FROM DECOMPOSITION OF A PHENYLACETYLENE AND THIOPHENE MIXTURE ON NI NANOPARTICLES, Carbon, 33(5), 1995, pp. 669-678
A method based on the decomposition of phenylacetylene and thiophene o
n a Ni-powder catalyst has been used to produce nanotubes, circular ho
llow structures, and other interesting graphitic morphologies. The str
uctures obtained are analyzed using HREM. The stability of bent graphi
te sheets is studied.
