Abstract
Cultivation of Zoophthora (Erynia) neoaphidis, iii comparison with oth er species of Zoophthora genus, requires more complex nitrogen source. The best mycelium growth was obtained when 8 day old mycelium was use d as an inoculum for liquid culture. On the basis of Gas Chromatograph y/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS) methods, the structures of the neutral lip ids produced by this fungus species, were determined. Decanoic acid wa s the most characteristic component (over 45 %). The level of hexadeca noic and octadecanoic acid was relatively lower, although their contri bution as ''bonded'' acid in diacylglyce-ride (DG) and triacylglycerid e (TG) fractions, was significant. Contrary to Zoophthora (Erynia) ovi spora, the presence of campesterol and/or dihydrobrassicosterol was pr oved.
