Abstract
The paper discusses main trends observed in the field of modern enviro nmental analytical chemistry. The analytics and related terms have bee n defined and general scheme of analytical procedures for environmenta l samples have been proposed. The stress has been put on interdiscipli nary and intradisciplinary links of analytical chemistry. The trends h ave been classified as methodical and instrumental ones and recent pro gress in both has been described. Some selected tendencies, i.e., lowe ring detection limits and increasing selectivity, introduction and dev elopment of hyphenated techniques and remote measurements have been co mprehensively described.
