B. Granger et al., BETWEEN ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION - A PLACE FOR ASSERTIVENESS DIFFICULTIES AND SOCIAL PHOBIAS, Annales medico-psychologiques, 153(3), 1995, pp. 204-206
The authors try to answer the question of the nosological status of so
cial phobias and assertiveness difficulties, wich are usually included
in the large group of anxious troubles. The correlation between Rathu
s Rating Scale, Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HDRS) and sub-scores
of HDRS were studied in two populations; the first one was constitute
d by anxious and/or depressed patients, the second, extracted from the
first one, by anxious patients only. The results show that lack of as
sertiveness has probably both affective and anxious components. These
results are important from a nosological and therapeutic point of view
.
