Abstract
Crystals of lenebis(salicylideneiminato)nitrato[O,O]iron(III), Fe(salp n)O2NO, were obtained from an attempt to prepare crystals of the corre sponding dipropylenetriamine complex. The source of the complex is dis cussed. An X-ray crystal structure study showed that the nitrate ion w as bonded to the iron atom in a symmetrical bidentate fashion. The sal pn ligand has a non-planar cis-configuration.
