Abstract
The present paper deals with the statistical analysis of the results o f beam and column fire tests in order to arrive at suitable values of the adaption factors k proposed in Part 1.2. 'Structural Fire Design' of Eurocode 3 'Design of Steel Structures'. This statistical analysis is consistent with that adopted for other parts of Eurocode 3, althoug h the level of safety is reduced at the fire limit state to take accou nt of the lower probability of occurrence of fire.
