Abstract
An efficient method of synthesis of 1-amino-4-bromoanthraquinone-2-sul fonic acid using bromination of the corresponding aminoanthraquinonesu lfonic acid with bromine in the presence of hydrogen peroxide has been proposed. The optimum conditions of synthesis, with a yield of the ta rget product of 68%, have been found.
