2-Dioctylamino-1,3,5-triazine-4,6-dithiol monosodium salt was electroc
hemically polymerized on an iron electrode in a Na2CO3-water electroly
te, possibly indicating a clear oxidation peak at 0.75 V vs SCE. Polym
er film on the plates increased with time, temperature, and the concen
tration to about 3000 mu m in thickness. Polymer units deposited on ir
on were estimated to be oriented perpendicular to the surface of iron
plate from IR-RAS and contact angle measurements.
