Abstract
QCD in the usual finite temperature formulation is using the grand can onical ensemble with chemical potential zero, We demonstrate that this description may give wrong predictions, QCD in the canonical formulat ion does not explicitly break 2(3) symmetry, It behaves in this sense like pure gluonic QCD, There are no metastable states in the canonical ensemble description as predicted in the grand canonical ensemble for malism.
