Abstract
The temperature dependence of the topological susceptibility around an d above the deconfining phase transition is studied both by cooling an d the field theoretic method. The susceptibility has a peak at T simil ar or equal to 0.83T(c) and drops steeply at T-c. In the cooled config urations a characteristic anisotropy of the correlation function of to pological charge is detected in the range T approximate to (1.2)T-c.
