Nonzero chemical potential studies with Wilson fermions should avoid t
he proliferation of flavor-equivalent nucleon states encountered with
staggered formulation of fermions. However, conventional wisdom has be
en that finite baryon density calculations with Wilson fermions will b
e prohibitively expensive. We demonstrate that the volume method appli
ed to Wilson fermions gives surprisingly stable results on a small num
ber of configurations. It is pointed out that this method may be appli
ed to any local or nonlocal gauge invariant quantity. Some illustrativ
e results for [($) over bar psi psi] and [J] at various values of mu i
n a quenched lattice simulation are given.
