Abstract
The application of many-body techniques to the lattice QCD Hamiltonian is investigated. Various approaches to the pure Yang Mills case (Kogu t-Susskind framework) including exp S methods are compared yielding en couraging results. The perspectives of a generalization of these exp S methods to QCD including quarks are then discussed.
