Abstract
Pleomorphic rhabdomyosarcoma is an extremely rare and highly malignant neoplasm. We report an unusual case of a 14-year-old boy with skeleta l metastases from a primary cardiac tumor. Fine needle aspiration biop sy of a lytic lesion in the right iliac wing showed a pleomorphic popu lation of clusters and single cells with hyperchromatic nuclei; granul ar, pink cytoplasm; and isolated, large cells with whiplike or globoid cytoplasmic processes and occasional striations. Histologic, ultrastr uctural and radiologic features are also presented.
