Abstract
Pressing scientific problems in the area of primary and secondary lith ium energy cells are addressed. This list includes passivation and rev ersible operation of lithium electrode, intercalation of lithium ions in carbon materials, various designs of positive electrodes, etc. A se lection of results produced by the latest scientific research in this area is evaluated.
