Abstract
We report on the experimental results of a diode-pumped, intracavity-d oubled cw Nd:YAG laser, pumped by a 10-W fiber-coupled semiconductor l aser at 808 nm and emitting as much as 600 mW in a stable single longi tudinal mode and TEM(00) spatial mode. We discuss the main issues of t he resonator design and the optimization of the intracavity second har monic conversion by interpreting our results using simple models. Impr ovements for the current project are also discussed. (C) 1997 Optical Society of America.
