Ns. Goel et Fs. Gang, A GENERAL AND COMPUTATIONALLY FAST METHOD FOR INVESTIGATING INCOMPRESSIBLE-FLOW, International communications in heat and mass transfer, 22(3), 1995, pp. 425-434
In earlier papers [1-4] a simple, general, and computationally fast me
thod for investigating heat conduction in heterogeneous and complex ma
terials was presented. In this paper, we show that the method, in prin
ciple, can be extended to study the fluid now around arbitrarily shape
d bodies. Initial results are presented for two-dimensional incompress
ible inviscid now around a circle and a Rankine oval. Calculated veloc
ity and pressure distributions are compared against those obtained ana
lytically and by other numerical methods.
