Abstract
In a recent paper the author introduced a technique aimed at the decou pled solution of the two-dimensional incompressible Navier-Stokes equa tions in stream function-vorticity formulation. Some associated finite element schemes were proposed and corresponding convergence results w ere demonstrated, by considering that the underlying harmonic componen t of the vorticity was still approximated by a harmonic function. In t his note the analysis is completed through the incorporation of the ap proximation of this component by a non harmonic function.
