Abstract
Effect of estradiol benzoate, testosterone propionate and bromocriptin e mesilat on rat testicular acid phosphatase was investigated. Adminis tration of estradiol alone or in combination with testosterone or brom ocriptine to rats resulted in reduction of testicular acid phosphatase activity and its activation by cobalt salt. This, accompanied by regr essive histological changes in the seminiferous tubules suggest impair ment of spermatogenesis. Also testosterone administration alone to rat s produced similar effects on the testis. Bromocriptine treatment to r ats failed to alter the testicular acid phosphatase activity.
