Abstract
Ba-hexaferrite has been prepared by mechanical alloying and subsequent heat treatment. Powders were studied by X-ray diffraction, transmissi on electron microscopy, Mossbauer spectroscopy and magnetic measuremen ts. High coercivities of up to 6 kOe were measured for these fine-part icle materials.
