Abstract
The reactions of bis(2,6-difluorophenyl)iodine(III) and 2,6-difluoroph enylxenon(II) tetrafluoroborates with trimethylsilyl trifluoromethanes ulfonate yield the corresponding bis(2,6-difluorophenyl)iodine(III) an d (2,6-difluorophenyl)xenon(II) trifluoromethanesulfonates. The produc ts were identified by NMR and vibrational spectroscopy as well as by m ass spectrometry. The cation peak of an organoxenon compound has been detected for the first time by FAB mass spectrometry.
