Abstract
We provide a microscopic modelling of the strong variation of the effe ctive exchange interaction J(eff) between Cu2+ spins as a function of hole doping delta in La2-deltaSrdeltaCuO4, as derived from complementa ry Raman scattering and paramagnetic susceptibility data.
