Studies of the dc conductance of Fibonacci superlattices at finite tem
perature are carried out. Exact solutions of the Schrodinger equation
are used for our treatment of the problem. The results show a strong d
ependence of electrical conduction on the chemical potential, which ac
ts as a probe of the underlying electronic structure. In particular, i
t is found that the Fibonacci superlattice shows metallic behaviour wh
en the chemical potential lies within allowed bands and it behaves as
a semiconductor when the chemical potential lies within gaps.
