Abstract
Transurethral incision of the prostate (TUIP) is a safe and effective therapeutic modality for treating symptoms of bladder outlet obstructi on in patients whose prostates have an estimated weight loss of less t han 30 g. New minimal invasive techniques should be compared with TUIP instead of with transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP).
