Abstract
New pyridinopyrazole ligands L containing a covalently linked electroa ctive ferrocenyl group have been prepared. The corresponding Ru(II) co mplexes Ru(bpy)(2)L(PF6)(2) have been thoroughly studied by H-1 and C- 13 NMR spectroscopy and compared with their corresponding non-ferrocen yl complexes, Electrochemical and UV-visible studies show that an intr amolecular interaction occurs between the two metal centers.
