Abstract
Mono Confirm Test, a commercially available system for 24 hours bioche mical Listeria monocytogenes confirmation was evaluated. A total of 15 6 L. monocytogenes and 77 listeria ''non monocytogenes'' strains From food origin were tested. All the non pathogenic Listeria strains were identified correctly to the genus level and all the pathogenic L. mono cytogenes strains were identified to the species level and differentia ted From the Listeria ''non monocytogenes'' strains.
