Abstract
A mathematical model and computer simulator are developed to aid in st udying the issue of minority dominance. Mathematically precise definit ions, lacking in prior research, are posed, then used to examine condi tions under which minorities are dominated. Results indicate that some domination is inherent in simple democratic procedures, and that stat istical methods should be used to infer causes of domination after fac ts are deduced directly from definitions.
