Abstract
Using the equations of self-consistent charge dynamics for the grain c harge fluctuations, electron plasma oscillations in a dusty plasma are studied. It is shown that the instability in longitudinal plasma osci llations disappears if the self-consistent grain charge dynamics is ta ken into account. The relation of this result with previous work is di scussed.
