Abstract
The relative stereochemistries of the two title compounds, ethoxy-2-me thylenecyclopropyl)-cyclohexanemethanol (2b), C12H20O2, and -methyl-2- methylenecyclopropyl)cyclohexanemethanol (3a), C12H20O, have been esta blished. Each structure has a different mode of hydrogen bonding; comp ound (2b) forms infinite chains [O ... O 2.862(3) Angstrom], while com pound (3a) forms centrosymmetric tetramers [O ... O 2.782(4) and 2.835 (4) Angstrom].
