Abstract
A method allowing the determination of nucleation and crystallization rate curves of fluorozirconate glass (ZBLAN) from differential scannin g calorimeter experiments (DSC) is described. Starting nucleation and crystallization temperatures are found to be respectively 260 and 330 degrees C, while the temperatures of the maximum nucleation rate and c rystallization rate are located around 300 and 380 degrees C.
