Abstract
The synthesis of 1-(phenylsulfonyl)pyrrole-2-boronic acid has been acc omplished by a process involving the directed lithiation of 1-(phenyls ulfonyl)-pyrrole. The former has been shown to couple smoothly with ar yl bromides and iodides under Suzuki conditions to afford 2-aryl-1-(ph enylsulfonyl)pyrroles.
