Abstract
The adsorption from ternary liquid mixtures on silica gel is investiga ted. Adsorption isotherms from the liquid mixtures involving methanol, acetone, pentanol-1, benzene, toluene and n-heptane are determined at 298 K. The data are tested in respect to the formation of mixed surfa ce phases. The monolayer model of adsorption is tested. The displaceme nt process in the surface phase is discussed in terms of the changes o f the mixed (binary) solvent composition during preferential adsorptio n of first component of the liquid mixture.
